As we learn more about human trafficking we want to respond to this instead of just letting the severity of the problem overwhelm us. Creative response is a place where you can update thoughts, poems, artwork, songs, videos that have been inspired by you interacting with the problem of human trafficking. It is our hope that through creatively responding as individuals we will be able to raise awareness of this issue and advocate for it.

All Deserving

|
Creator: Daniela Williams Artwork: Song Description: This is a song I have written for a song writing competition which has to encompass the basic notion of "Peace" and it suits this topic of human trafficking. I hope it encourages and inspires you as we are all so very blessed to be living how and where we are and we are all given the opportunity to make a difference. There should be no reason why there are still terrible injustices going on around the world like human trafficking at the hands of man. Creator: Sam Garaway and Jordan Engelsman Artwork: Steel Sculpture Description: While these children come from such corroded backgrounds this sculpture represents how they still have so much to offer. Their situation may appear barren to an onlooker but these children carry the image of God, just like you and I. |

Creator: JT Artwork: Oil on Canvas Description: This painting started with a theme in mind that didn't really carry through to the canvas. Now that it's finished, it's probably about the little girl (whoever that may be) redeeming the darkness of the past as she steps into the future. |
Brokenness

|
Creator: Annie Artwork: Poetry Description: My initial experiences of working with human trafficking. Everything I thought I knew was challenged as I realised that the people who hold the answers to this problem are the victims of trafficking themselves.

Redeemed
![]() |
Creator: Tori Alonzo Artwork: Acrylic and spraypaint on recycled frame. 510 mm x 660mm Description: I painted this to represent the hope there is for children who have been trafficked. People who have been trafficked do not need their value and worth to be determined by this experience. They still have the right to a future, dreams and aspirations. While they may weep now... It will not last forever - "their mouths full of laughter, their tongues full of joy..." |
Human Rights
|
|
Creator: Tori Alonzo Artwork: Acrylic and newspaper collage. 430 mm x 320mm Description: When reading through the Universal Declaration of Human Rights these are the two articles that really grabbed my attention. Articles four and five are the most relevant to human trafficking. |
Broken

Creator: Anonymous Description: A personal poem depicting realities of terror that can take place for victims. |

Beauty
|
|
Creator: Tori Alonzo Artwork: Acrylic and spraypaint on recycled frame. 470mm x 580 mm. Description: I have put my words in your mouth and hidden you safely within my hand. I set all the stars in space and established the earth. I am the one who says "You are mine!"
